Perf-Arc Vertical Tube Piercing Demountable Units

All demountable units clamp the tube prior to the perforator entering the tube. Die set mounting top and bottom is recommended.

Perf-Arc Vertical Piercing Demountable Units offer a flexibility and adaptability which reduces both set up time and costs. They can be used in punch presses, press brakes and air or hydraulic presses. Perf-Arc Units are designed for when unsupported piercing is acceptable. unsupported piercing means the tube will deform or "dimple" around the pierced hole.

All perf-arc tools can be used singly or in multiples of two or more and can be positioned adjoining one another, spaced apart or at angles to pierce tubing which has been bent prior to piercing. All units are self stripping. Self contained units can be mounted directly to the bolster plate or sub-plates. Demountable units are split units which must be mounted both top and bottom preferably in a die set. Demountable units are also available keyed, top & bottom for direct mounting into most press brakes - Please advise at time of order.

Note: When dimple-free piercing is required, a custom arbor piercing die, built in a die set, is required. This type of tool supports the I.D. of the tube during piercing, preventing deformation. These dies are built to suit the application.

Perf-Arc Self Contained Units

Self contained units are the easiest to set up requiring only mounting of the base of the unit.

Please Specify: Tube size, gauge and hole size required. Units may be ordered for round, square or rectangular tube sizes up to max. capacity of each unit. Exit hole (bottom wall) will be deformation-free however this hole will be up to 25% of the tube's wall thickness larger, due to slug clearance, (i.e. for 16 gauge, exit holes are up to .016" larger). Each unit includes a perforator and a pair of clamps sized to your tube. The lower clamp includes an integral bushing sized both to your hole size and tubing gauge.
