Custom Arbor V-Notch dies are used when a tube needs to have a large notch produced and the application does not permit any deformation to the tube. These dies are built in die sets and designed with an arbor (internal mandrel) to support the tube during the notch process.
Other ancillary products available are - V-Notching Standard Unsupported, Custom Side Notch Die, Structural Tool Rods, Angle Iron, Flat Stock and Shapes and Angle Iron "V" Notch and Flat Stock Corner Notch Units.

"V" Notch units can notch square or rectangular tubing up to the unit's maximum capacity. The tube is automatically clamped before notching, to prevent the side walls from bulging outward during the notch. The units come complete with one set of tooling for one size and wall (advise when ordering). Front spacers are changed with different sizes (shimmed for different wall thicknesses). The rear cams are changed for different wall thicknessess. Although these units are a standard design, they are normally manufactured at the time of order.
Rear wall intact for 90° corners (slight dimpling occurs on the top wall of tube as it sits in the die).
Custom units are available for folding into corners other than 90°.
This is an example of our custom die capabilities. Similar to a V-Notch die, this die can be custom built for specific applications where the size of the holes are too large to be pierced in an arbor piercing die or where large windows must be pierced in tubing. Please send us prints of your application details so we may quote a tool specific to your needs.
Shears for heavy duty applications
These scrapless shears may be used to cut rod, angle iron or flat stock. Three capacity ranges are currently available, each with a standard housing and interchangeable inserts. All units are designed for stationary recutting applications but may be modified for cutting on the fly.
Angle Iron "V" Notch Units are heavy duty self contained units with resharpenable inserts for making 90 degree corners in angle iron and flat stock. Special angles and larger sizes are available.
